Fun Friday - Birthday Flower

It is Fun Friday once again in our group, Blogging for Fun, and the topic is Birth Flower.

Violet is the birth flower for people who are born in February. The Violet symbolizes faith, modesty, virtue and purity.

If your birth flower is Violet: You maintain your cool in difficult situations and work hard to get out of them. Your intuitive ability is worth mentioning. You have very strong willpower. You are original and mature. You don't copy others.

That part that says, “People who have Violet as birth flower are cool” seems to be true with me. In fact, a year and a half ago, when I was new in the blogging world, I met three other ladies who became sturdy blogging buddies. We gave each one us an adjective and assigned a color to go with our personality. Based on their observation, this is what they assigned to me:BLUE for Tes, due to her calmness” Teehee- is that cool or what! (Other three: RED -fieriness, YELLOW -vitality and last but definitely not the least, BROWN –earthiness).

My birthstone is Amethyst; it is also commonly violet in color. I simply love violet and Violets!

I wanted to post a photo of Violets, but I am limited right now. I searched a bit online and found out that there is another flower for people who are born in February -the Iris. Iris expresses peace of mind, friendship, faith, hope, and wisdom.

How about you, what is your birth flower? Click HERE if you are interested to know what your birth flower is and what it says about you!

I searched my archive and found this photo Instead of a Violet, I have decided to post this Iris. The petals were battered by the rain. The wet and torn petals added drama to the picture. Can you see the tiny bug in the petal?

My birth flower is Narcissus.

It says:

You have a very high level of self-confidence. You have strong willpower which helps you in difficult situations. You are more of a family person. You are logical and systematic.

that's quite accurate except that i don't have that strong will power to overcome life's difficulties.

btw, that's a lovely iris.

Mine is called Calendula (Marigold). My birthday is on October 4.

"The Calendula symbolizes comfort, grace, joy, good luck and gratitude.

If your birth flower is Calendula: You are spiritual at times. By nature, you are gentle and sensitive. You like peace and harmony in life. You can become a good negotiator and hence a great leader."

Hmmm...intersting. I'm going to post this on my Facebook now. Hehe...:D

This iris flower looks very fragile and complex. :D

Oh and I also looked up the flower for those born in September...it's called aster and it's purple and orange, too!

Purple is also associated with royalty. Maybe you were a queen in another life.

I love the color purple and irises. Beautiful photo, I find the slightly tattered petals touching and I like the bug!

mine is carnation....Carnation is the birth flower for people who are born in January.
The Carnation symbolizes deep love, a friend in need, distinction, beauty, and fascination.

If your birth flower is Carnation: You are a sensitive person. You are very protective towards your family and friends. You are very ambitious and aim to achieve big things in life. You are a very helpful friend....

this is fun...

When I was growing up I always wanted to be born in February as the birth stone is purple and so are violets. I've always thought it was a nice colour to be associated with.

Nice photo of the iris too.

Hehehe, I can't grow a flower in a pot. So dont worry, the flowers were taken from different gardens at different times.
