It's time for another Brenda Photo Challenge. I stumbled upon this site some two weeks past, I did not have to think twice, I just hopped in and joined the fun. I enjoyed it and am back for more! last week's theme was "The Color Purple." This Saturday, the theme is food. Anything edible as Donna puts it.
"Any kind of shot concerning food...Your favorite maybe? Vegetables...Desserts...Complete Meals...Making dinner with the kids....Grilling...Baking...Get it? But it HAS to be edible...Hahahaa....well...you get the point!"
-Donna (Brenda Photo Challenge)
Here's what I came up with. These are a few of the foodie-trip shots I did when my husband and I visited Thailand last July 2009.
Nuts, to be mixed with the main dish
Veggie Soup
Chai tea meets Thai tea
Grilled prawns common in the sidewalks of Bangkok - 40THB only per stick! (that's like $2.)
There are a lot of interesting dishes in Bangkok, and best of all, inexpensive!
Now, join me as I go around and check what the others have to share!

Hi Tes, Those dishes look delicious. My hubby spent alot of time in China teaching several years ago--and he learned to cook some great dishes while there. He can cook the best stirfry dinners I've ever had... Some of them look similar to yours.
Hope you are having a good weekend so far.
Hugs,
Betsy
You're making me hungry!
Beautiful photos, the presentation of the food is so delightful! I'd try a bite of every dish, it all looks SO good!
You must include TomYam if mentioning about Thai Food, it is hot, spicy and sour. Yummy.
It all looks wonderful! What an amazing trip that must have been.
The prawns look amazing. I want to eat everything. That must have been an adventure.

I have tried Thai food several times when I was in Davao because there were two authentic (as what they claimed) Thai restaurants there at that time.Thai food tastes interesting. Not really my favorite but they're like a breath of fresh air.Your pics are so good especially the Thai prawns.I'd probably try the veggie soup too if I get into a Thai resto again. And of course, the Thai tea. (I've tried Chai)
Hie Tes! Of all the photos...the one that really attracts me is the Coffee! LOL :D
But then the prawn looks nice too! Yum! Yum!
Anyway I have just added you to my reading list and in my blogroll! Have a nice day Tes! ;)
that food looks delicious! do we have to go so far to taste them? have a great weekend!
great pictures Tes, all yummylicious!
I love Thai too, actually, all Asian, with Filipino foods at the top of the hierarchy :)
I am probably a little bit ignorant about this, but is Thai food similar to Chinese food? I love Chinese food, but I don't think I have ever had Thai/
I'm a very picky eater, but most of these dishes look very good. I don't think I would eat the grilled prawns. I like the taste of them, but I don't care much for the texture.
The prawns and the veggies all look so good. I love the presentation on each of the dishes, it is so colorful and enticing.
And I just like the sound of Thai Chai.

i love pad thai =) yumyum
Tes, I was so thrilled twelve years ago to spend almost 25 days in southeast Asia - ten days in India, three days in Bangkok, twelve days on a cruise ship sailing from Bangkok to Singapore with stops at several ports in Indonesia and Malaysia. It was the trip of a lifetime...wonderful, warm people, exotic dress and dances, beautiful temples, incredible food. For the first time, I hate a fruit called the mangosteen that was truly fit for the gods and, also, that smelly durian. I have been back to Asia since but not to Thailand.
