What Cancer Cannot Do

The movie Ghost was really huge when my husband and I started dating. In fact, our first dance was to the tune of Ghost’s soundtrack – Unchained Melody. Ghost is significant to us. We are saddened by Patrick Swayze's demise. He is so much a part of us. It haunts me to know that once again a life has been claimed by that terrible disease –cancer. I had a lucky break, but it is still a plague that ravages lives. The race to find a CURE continues.

A good friend gave me this bangle and it has beautiful words…

The color of the awareness ribbon for pancreatic cancer is purple.

I offer this post to Patrick.

To those who are still battling with cancer.

And to those who have lost their lives to cancer.

That is a truly beautiful bangle. I wish there was a place here to get one. (My dad died of cancer, and that line it cannot shut out memories really got me.)

Patrick was a warrior and he will be missed by many.

Patrick Swayze will be greatly missed. "Ghost" was the first time I watched him and I followed him ever since.

What cancer cannot do is stop people from hoping and believing that at some point the cure for cancer will be found. It is just a matter of time.

Let's keep praying.

This is a nice tribute, I wish there is more research done to seek for the cure of cancer. I do the Revlon Run-Walk for breast cancer every year, I think I have already 6 medals. My mom had pancreatic cancer and died at age 49.

Alpha Bp and Ebie, my dad too was taken away from us by cancer (of the liver). He was only 56. I was only 18 –it devastated our family! Very inspiring run-walk, Ebie. My husband and I are looking into joining those awareness runs, walks…

Chay and Icy, yes, Patrick will live in the hearts of many, he fought and never gave up.

I didn't watch a lot of his movie's but it was hard seeing the way he died. He should not have had to go through what he did. Somebody that famous feels like a family member. A loss like that is very sad.

totoong lahat ang nakalagay sa bangle mo. maraming mga bagay ang hindi magagawa ng kanser lalung-lalo na sa may mga malalakas na pananalig sa Diyos

Oh wow, know what Eng, you're not the first person to say that... Icy and Judy said the same thing about blogger not updating their dashboard on my posts. Am thinking, it might be the manual set up in the "blog list" under LAYOUT -whenever I add a blog that I follow, I update that "bloglist" -it could be that... just a thought...
