Today, on my way home from work, my friend Cherry called me. I can hear her bubbly voice at the other end of the line,
Cherry: Guess what, remember last summer I planted several mums that withered and died? They are unexpectedly springing out again....yey! And the garden is filling up with colors!"
I can imagine her grinning face. To which I teased her with (common way we joke)
Tes: "Duh, you called me and bothered me just to tell me your garden is nicer than mine..."
She laughed so hard and we both laughed and then she said,
Cherry: Don't worry, tomorrow, I'll call you again to tell you that I have lost the 5 pounds that you have been working so hard to loose!"
It was my turn to laugh so hard.
Then she said something that caught me off-guard.
Cherry: Actually, today has been a tiring day. I called you because I know you can make me laugh in a snap and I was right, you did!
We giggled, hanged up, and then I stared out of the window with a grin on my face.
As life speeds up before me, a phone call, a laughter and a sigh can slow IT down. . . and. . . make me blog.

Well that's a day-brightener. I spent the day with just that kind of friend yesterday. We've known each other for almost 35 years and our friendship is as full of laughs as always. Everyone should have such a friend. I'm glad you do. :)

i've added azaleas --- flowers have always bewitched me...but this time i want to grow them, or better yet, i'm hoping Manny can touch them with his gentle love and make them grow...
the other night, tulips were featured on tv --- i can't recall the channel. like roses, tulips dress in varied colors and shades and both can be utterly simple or fascinatingly ornate.
