Downtown Houston @Night

I've recently joined My World Tuesday --this is my second post-- I am grateful because this encourages me to thoroughly explore and capture "my world!" Thanks to my friend, Ebie, through her I discovered My World Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Doods, my hubby; Buboi (our friend) and I went for our usual photo walk around downtown Houston. Unlike my two companions, I have never captured city lights before. I was eager and excited. With their help, I was able to find some good spots to take photos. I had so much fun!

Doods, spellbound by the beauty of the sunset

Sunset @Allen Parkway bridge, romantic and magical!

Capturing downtown Houston from the bridge at Allen Parkway

The city lights have a glamour of its own, enchanting!

The Houston Symphony was playing at Miller Outdoor Theatre that night.

Very nicely done, Tes. That's something I want to do, too, is capture the lights at night in a large city. You did very well. My favorite picture is the second one from the bottom.

Hi Tes, thanks again for the mention.
The night photography is superb! The skyline is just beautiful! But my favorite is the last pic, the screen showing a huge moon!

Take care!

The scene is beautiful, but is too quiet. Have you kept all the traffics in another corner of your camera?

You got some absolutely beautiful night scenes of Houston. If these are the first night photos you've taken you are very good at night photography.

I've been in Houston many times, without even paying much attention to the night lights. Shame on me! I'll have to get out and photograph San Francisco at night - a spectacular city for night photography! Thanks for inspiring me with your photos!

ahhh makes me want to see Houston ! We went to Texas couple years ago, in San Antonio. I wish I knew you back then, then we could have stopped by at Houston and explore the place.

Someday...

I grew up in Houston, and your shots made me a bit nostalgic. My parents were guest performers at the Miller Outdoor Theatre back in the 50's. :)
