Is Collision Insurance Important?

Got your attention with that photo huh. Yes, a wreak! That Lexus had it bad. The owner wasn't able to drive that vehicle anywhere that day, and I'm sure for more days to come. The owner of this wrecked vehicle bumped a Ford Explorer that was directly behind us -too close, I'd say. This caused the explorer to ram us from behind. Total of three vehicles damaged and six people -one way or the other- hurt.

I'd hate to be in the Lexus owner's shoes if he doesn't have collision insurance. Often times, drivers get a coverage that guarantees liability insurance, but does not come with collision insurance. This is because every state requires that each driver carry a certain amount of liability insurance. This provides the driver a sense of security that if somebody bump him, the expenses for repairs of his car are adequately covered. But an accident is not an "accident" if we have control over it. So what happens if you are the one who has caused the damage to occur? Your liability insurance will cover the repairs for the car that you bumped, but your own car won't be covered if you did not include collision insurance in your coverage. Even the most careful of drivers can be a cause for an accident to happen. It is always advisable to carry both liability and collision insurance. I really hope the owner of that Lexus has collision insurance on top of the required liability insurance.

There are over a dozen auto insurance companies that want your business. It might sound overwhelming at times, but it's actually good for you because competition actually lowers the prices. The thing with so many options though is that when you try to shop for one, it becomes tedious, especially if you're looking for the best deal available. But nowadays, these searches can be streamlined for you. With American Car Quotes, you only have to fill out one form and one time only. They in turn will match the driver's needs with a specific auto insurance company. Then you get the quote that will best suit the coverage you need and who you can purchase it from. I say, that's hassle-free and convenient.

in that case...it's really important. Insurances here most esp car stuffs are useful in time. If affordable enough it's good to have.
