My carpool buddy, Poorva, and I are one of those who join the thousands of commuters who parade in the freeway every morning, with a little prayer in the pocket saying, we hope to get to our destination in one piece.
Poorva and I have been carpool buddies for a long while now. We enjoy the long drive and has really gotten use to it already. We enjoy witnessing the sun as it starts to filter our side of the universe. Watching as it creeps to flood the dark earth with wondrous colors until it finally encompass everything.
It's an everyday blessing to watch that ball of fire explode to fill our world with radiance

One concern about a long commute to work is having the car properly tuned up. For maintenance, it is vital that a periodic visit to the car repair shop is done. For a car to be considered as tuned up, the ignition system and the fuel system should be serviced correctly.
Make it a point to check if the car starts easily and is not lacking in power. Oil change will lubricate the engine thoroughly and the a new oil filter will prevent harmful deposits from the engine, thus making the car run smoother. Oil and filter change requires draining the old motor oil and replacing it with new motor oil. If you diligently follow this, you are on your way to saving money that will otherwise go to your motor shop.
My friend in Seattle who drives an Acura TL, makes it a point to have her car serviced regularly (tune up, change oil). She relies on Repair Pal in finding the best reviewed Seattle Auto Repair Shops and Mechanics. Instead of calling each auto shop for estimates in labor and parts, Repair Pal will provide information on how much in a particular city a car owner will fork out for service and parts done. It works well with her. It saves her time and she gets the best service available.
Have you serviced your car lately?

I'm so lucky to have my own personal mechanic. My husband is out in the garage right now putting 4 brand new tires on my car for the winter. He does all the oil changes, checks and repairs brakes, etc. How lucky can a woman get?
Maintenance is part of owning a car, and it's so important to its longevity..Thank you for the reminder, Tes..
hehehe, we are so guilty about not knowing anything regarding maintenance. we are so dependent on regular servicing by car companies, whenever they say it's time for this and that, we just gladly bring the car over for regular maintenance.
Ouh!There is such HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane? I don't think we have any in Malaysia! :p
it's very important to take care of our cars as it will take care of us too. I don't know too much but at least basic stuffs for car troubleshooting.
