This is my first time to join Monochrome Weekly, hosted by Aileni. Some time ago, I discovered the beauty of monochrome photos and posted several in this blog. But lately, the excitement of some of my blogging buddies Cher and Eng have rubbed off on me and has encouraged me to link with Mr. Linky @ Monochrome Weekly. I am looking forward to feasting on more monochrome photos. I noticed that B&W can make details stand out.

Very well caught.
You are correct - B&W makes you attend to detail and contrast.
Welcome to Mono Weekly - enjoy.
After reading your posts lately I noticed that you have a lot of photos of mother nature huh! This one is well-timed. :D
The squirrel looks very cute! Nice photo! : )
Hi Tes, I too had joined the meme. I posted twice and I'm excited for the next!

I like how the squirrel's big bushy tail stands out in this photo. The tail might not have stood out so well if the picture were not in B&W.
Beautiful B&W image! Without pretty colors to distract me, the squirrel's cute face catches my attention.
Yes, the black and white cut away the distraction. The cute eyes stand up.
welcome to Mono Weekly, Tes! thanks for the link! i always love your squirrel photos. the b/w brought out the squirrels hidden beauty. :)
This is a great monochrome photo of the squirrel. I look forward to seeing more.
Nice one. and you did get his attention, didn't you! Doesn't seem to be camera shy.
I like this photo! The squirrel's busy tail caught my eye first.
Nice shot - I do like B&W. When my son was little he called it black and gray.
This has really been a week for squirrels on the blogs, Tes. Yours is so clear and perfect. Great picture.
Your picture is beautiful. I love to watch the squirrels. They are always busy, never just lazing around.
Oh I love the expression on that squirrel! Beautiful shot!
Tes the eye for detail that you have is rare. The picture is so classic. Good job girl.
very nice capture. i admire your skill and the patience in capturing that squirrel . well done!
and thanks for the visit
That turned out really well. I agree that some times turning a photo into black and white helps to focus on the subject.
I love mono photo they are defiantly an art form. Mono weekly sounds like a great way to train your eyes to see without colour.
Your squirrel photo is nice and sharp, well taken.
Great picture for a monochrome shot, Tes... You did GREAT.
Hugs,
Betsy
This is fantastic Tes. The details especially in the tree trunk and tail on the squirrel are great. Beautiful photo.
