When we had our house warming some years ago, we received a lot of fancy and practical gifts from friends and family. Several gifts stood out though. I remember one that our friends, the Bradleys, sent us all the way from California (to Houston). A dainty, decorated mailbox! Very artistic and truly one of its kind. I am amaze at how creative some people can be with their gifts.

There are many different types of mailboxes for a variety of space and location in the house. There's the wall mounted mailboxes, the column mailboxes and lots more. The good thing about these mailboxes is that they are available online. There are also Commencial Mailboxes for multi-unit complexes and compounds.

Very interesting. I like this idea. I wish we didn't have the community mailboxes. So impersonal, but safe I suppose.
A mailbox sounds like a great house-warming gift. Thanks for the suggestion -- I wouldn't have thought of it myself.
I think it's nice to have a distinct,
decorative mailbox. Of course, so many postal areas have their own set mailboxes that residents must use but the one you show in the photograph is so pretty and unique.
