My first mosaic this year! It's Mosaic Monday once again at Mary's Little Red House. She graciously hosts this event every Monday. Stop by her red house and see what other mosaic makers have done this week.
It rarely snows in Houston. The whole lot of my neighbors get excited whenever it does. In my class, some of my five-year-old students have not even seen snow. It is almost a novelty in this part of the universe.

Thank you for a mosaic-filled year, Mary! Looking forward for more!

I does look cold there. You make it seem worth it though, just to get the pictures.
Very pretty, I just love the white snow and the greenery showing thru. It looks so beautiful! Great photos and mosaic.
Beautiful winery pictures!
I was also excited of my first snow in the US, being a transplant from the tropics. I hope it was not that cold with the little powdery shower.
Enjoy your weekend Tess, hope to be blogging in full swing these coming days, got a lot of catching up to do.
How fun that must have been for the kids! Love the sunset shot the best I think, although they're all gorgeous. Happy New Year Tes!
Your photos are beautiful! Love the snow scenes.
What a beautfiul mosaic, the snow may not come ofter but you certainly did a beautiful job capturing it, Happy New Year, Kathy.
Tes, I love all your pictures, the lighting is great, you really took the perfect time to get those pictures.
i remember my first snow day in US, I was not excited since my students and co-teachers were the ones excited for me, they made me make snow angel :) haha!
Tes-- you captured the snow and ice great!
I really love the green and white together.
Stop by if you get a chance--

Love it! So beautiful and peaceful when it snows!
What a grerat mosaic Tess. lovely for the kids to have snow. Funny some don't even know what it is.:))
A lovely mosaic, the snow photos are beautiful. I'll bet the children had a great time, it's hard to imagine what it would be like to see snow from the first time.

Hi Tes,
I meant to thank you for following my little Baja blog. One of these days I am going to catch up with my posts on that one.

Beautiful pictures, very atmospheric :)
Absolutely love the photos! I am a teacher near Buffalo NY - and we get snow quite a lot. Our students are used to it, but the first snow of the year never ceases to amaze everyone. I made sure to stop my lessons and allow everyone to run to the window and observe for a while. It is a special time of year - of course when the end of February comes - knowing we will have possibly 2 more months of the stuff it does get a little tiresome as well!
Stay warm!
I love those pictures... its like stepping out of the door, and play and toy with the weather... ~bangchik
It looks cold but beautiful. I love the colour of the sky. What a wonderful mosaic to start the year with.
lovely pictures!
Hello: Loved the look of the snow on the surroundings. I can send you a little more snow if you like. We have lots. LOL. Valerie
Beautiful. So refreshing.
Superb mosaic, I love the colors! I can feel the excitement, about once every decade it does snow a little in my neighborhood and it's a quite a thrill.
Great shots! I can't imagine snow in Houston. I love that shot of the icicles on your plant.
I wanna feel the white snow too. :(
Beautiful photographs and love the frosted ones. Thanks also for stopping by my blog. Really appreciated your visit :)
Hi Tes! Happy New Year!
I heard about the snow in Texas, my husband's cousin lives there too and just like others they were also happy to see snow once again.
Looks so cold. Great photos and mosaic. You captured it so well.
I guess, I'll be peek again next time ;)
Have a nice day.
Tes, you are welcome to some of the snow that we have. We have enough to spare. Your snow and icy photographs are beautiful.
Everything looks so pretty with just a little frosting! Have a happy week!
Really pretty mosaic with the frost and snow. Very nice.
wonderful series of pics Tes. it's always great to see such pics from the other side of the planet.
hope you had a wonderful new year. Happy 2010!
Beautiful mosaic, Tes..My favorites are the sunset, and the greenery bush with a touch of icicle on it.
You've gotten more snow down there in Houston than we've gotten up here in Tennessee! I'm glad you enjoyed your snowfall.
Oh Tes, this is so beautiful! I think you got just the right amount of snow -- just enough to be lovely but not so much that it is a pain in the neck! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful images at MM. :)
The pictures are just beautiful but, having gone to nursing school in New Orleans, I spent a lot of time with classmates and friends in Houston. Snow was NEVER part of the equation and it is just so hard to imagine it there in a Southern city so close to Galveston!
Wow! These look professional.
