I have a strange predilection for topiary. I am fascinated by their clean lines. Their very presence screams ART! Here are some that I found during our Asia tour last summer.
There were several at the Grand Palace in Thailand
some are cute shrubs, like little kids, grouped together
others, simply elegant
These ones appear to be talking to each other. . .
Some loom majestically
I saw some in Vietnam too. Theirs was another form of art, bonsai. Several were really old.
I walked around this area for a long time, can't get enough of the beautiful potted art.
I have a simple one in my backyard too - teehee

Many years ago, I had quite a collection of bonsai! They were pretty expensive. My favorite was a wonderful tiny Japanese maple. Its leaves turned brilliant red in the fall.
