When we had our house warming some years back, we received several wine glasses. My first thought was to purchase a wine glass rack, but I got distracted when I saw some nice baskets in the flea market, so I settled for baskets instead. I used the baskets for the wine glasses. The glasses looked pretty nesting in a sage towel inside the beige baskets. I had to use a towel so the glasses won't get scratched or worst, break. The baskets fit well in the cupboard. Everything was looking nice. Oops, but not quite. I noticed that every now and then, we had to pull out the baskets from the cupboard whenever we need a wine glass. Not only that, after washing the glasses, we had to stack them up in a dish dryer before putting them back in the basket so as not to wet the towel. Damp towel stinks. Several occasions came one after the other that required the glasses to be in and out of the cupboard. Finally, I had to admit that it was not so practical. I went online and checked for stemware racks. To my delight, there were so many designs and styles to choose from. I ordered the hanging wine glass rack. Am very pleased with my order.
Now, when we need wine glasses, we just reach out and take it out of our glass racks. The racks that we ordered online are so easy to install and come in different shapes and sizes so we were able to choose the one that fits perfectly in that little space in the corner of our counter top. The racks also have a wide variety of materials to choose from. There's wood, metal and copper. We chose the chrome because its silver color makes the glasses shimmer. Our wine rack is one of the practical stuff that we installed in our kitchen.
