I have been enjoying photoshop since I first tried it almost a year ago, the same time my husband, Doods, bought me a camera. But I have never done photo layering. I've heard about it, but never bothered to find out how it's done. Today, I discover a link in Ann's blog that pulled up a site that generously shares not only tutorials on photo layering, but magnificent textures for layering as well. Am thrilled!
My gratitude to Jerry Jones of ShadowHouse Creations for generously sharing the textures and giving free tutorials in texture layering. Amazing effects, Jerry. Brilliant blog site! You are quite the guru. Thanks!
Thank you also, Ann, for sharing the link with us.
Here's my first ever attempt at texture layering. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to more!

Good job Tess. I have not tried this technique, am more conservative.
P.S. I hope you will enjoy Zee's blog. She's got lots of freebies and a great tutor.
Wow...neat technique you used here Tes. :D
Hi Tess. I use photoshop sometimes and I have looked at layering many times but still find it difficult . I saw that site before and I have to go there again if I want to layer my photo's
It seems like a wonder to me.
Hopefully I can have time to explore further. Thanks for the link and info.
Gorgeous photo, Tes..Thanks for the link. You know me, I will have to find time for playing with my photos.
I have Photoshop Elements. I've read about layering but have done very little with it. I've been wanting to buy Photoshop, but it's too expensive :-(
Tes: A very interesting result, thanks for sharing.
Wonderful photo. I must get up the courage and "broaden my horizons" so to speak about photography. All I do is snap photos with my little camera. After seeing everyone's great photos on their blogs I am becoming more intrigued. Have a great day Tes!
I love the effect. It looks like a painting.

Great picture, Tes.... You certainly are learning that new program. George and I just ordered Photoshop Elements --so when it gets here, we'll be doing what you are doing...Fun Fun!!!!
