Some friends invited us to visit Mission San Jose, a National Historical Park located at the heart of San Antonio, Texas, some three hours away from Houston. Mission San Jose is the largest of the missions found in San Antonio. In the 1930s, it was almost fully restored in its original design by the Works Projects Administration (WPA).
