I use to join Monochrome Weekly, but this is my first entry for The Weekend in Black and White. Glad to be able to join you again, guys! Grateful to Dragonstar for hosting this meme.
These arches are found at Mission San Jose, San Antonio Texas. One of the four missions built by the Franciscan missionaries in San Antonio Texas, during the early 1700s.

oh wow, Tes, I am so impressed with your conversion to Black and white, the play of lights is amazing, and the picture so sharp and vivid.
PS...Khai just mentioned to me you take very good pictures, your lighting is always good and the sharpness very impressive. he asked me what lens you use and told him, "I do not know" hehe.
A very beautiful picture. Can be used for lots of history text book. :D
This is an excellent photo. I wish I would have went there when I lived in Texas. Darn. :)

nice arches!
Beautiful picture. The black and white looks very dramatic.
What a wonderful historic place. I need to get by there someday on one of my trips back to Texas.
Thanks for your comment on my site and the link to clouds and airplane wings. Now that I've photo'd the wing from the front of the plane, the next time I fly I'll be sure to sit behind the wing for a different perspective. Thanks for the tip!
Very nice entry. :)
The shapes and the shadows are really good. I suppose you're used to such bright sunlight there :)
This is good Tes -- very good. The light is magical. The perspective and textures spot on. A fine image.
Oh wow that is beautiful Tes!!

this is a great find, i like the geometry in this photo.
The arches come out real well when viewed large.
Wow, these arches were build for the future black and white photography in the future back then! The geometry and your perspective is awesome...the old missions really photograph beautifully. I love to visit them here, in California...fabulous shot, Tes!
WOW!! GORGEOUS Photo! I was just talking about going to these Missions. I've lived in Texas for most of my years, and have only made it to a couple of them. Thanks for showing me something to look forward to when I do finally make it!
this shot is picture perfect!
The arches are already beautiful to look at but the B&W effect gave so much drama to it. Love it!
