I came across this 17th century sculpture of a cherub, found in Mission San Jose, one of the four missions built by the Franciscan missionaries, in San Antonio, Texas.
I was surprised to find my last week's entry, Arches (my very first entry for this meme) as one of six entries featured in the main page of The Weekend in Black and White. Thank you so much Dragonstar, this is encouraging! :) Appreciate it.

interesting shot!
Wow...this is a sculpture of a cherub? Looks beautiful and...a little bit "creepy" at the same time.
Love it. Great composition. Nice capture.
Awesome shot, Tes..I like it in black and white..
What can the status do, other than keeps watching at you?
Nice sculpture and beautiful photo.
I like the bridge. It is really sharp.
Those Franciscans really got around, didn't they? Poor cherub, frozen in time...doesn't look so happy!
excellent angle, i like the details and the shadows.
That's a great cherub and I love the shot.
look at the eyes Tes, looks like intently watching, are the stains from erosion over time?
I like art like this. It makes so many different thoughts and feelings run through my mind when I see it.
This is intriguing..The face looks fantastic!
I like the composition - the face against the rough background wall.
I posted your link on the home page :)
The dark tonality gives this image a brooding quality. I like it.
