We saw these breathtaking wild yellow cosmos while driving from Houston to South Padre Island. We just had to pull over and enjoy the blooms.

Nice flowers. But I love your lizard photos. Boy, the males can't hide the fact that they're happy to see you with that red neck!
Tes, can't wait to get home and view your flower pics, somehow, some blogspot pics are blocked in our school network, I could not even see some of my pics. I think it is because they are changing some settings at school since school year is winding down, it's that time they can do more change here and there without a lot of teachers complaining.

Isn't nice when such cheerful scenery brightens your drive! It's nice to get away from the Houston heat for a little shoreside escape.
I'm holed up in the hospital with antibiotic IVs for cellulitis...at least a three day stay...not much but fog visible from here.

Is Yellow Cosmos the name of these beauties? They look very similar to Black Eyed Susans that filled the fields in NY where I grew up. Lovely pictures.
